About the role:

In alignment with our project diversification strategy, we are now seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Water team in Sydney. Ideally, we are looking for applications from people who have experience in Wastewater Treatment Plants, Desalination Plants, Oil & Gas and pipeline construction projects. You will be based in our McMahons Point head office working closely with our Water team and heading projects in the Water space.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee projects exceeding $100M, ensuring adherence to schedule, quality, and budget.
  • Coordinate with the Regional Construction Manager to authorize construction plans and schedules for timely project completion.
  • Monitor compliance with performance specifications throughout the project duration.
  • Assess abnormal risks in tender documents.
  • Prepare and submit major contractual claims.
  • Preference for experience in the kick-off pre-contracts stage, though not essential.
  • Proven multi-disciplined experience within the construction industry.

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

  • A Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or its equivalent.
  • 10+ years post-graduate experience within a Principal Contractor environment.
  • Experience in managing hard dollar projects over $100M in project value.
  • Previous history of working on a range of treatment plant or wastewater treatment plants, desalination, oil & gas, and pipeline projects essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Current C-Class Driver’s License.
